RAL 5026 powder coating (Pearl night blue) is a metallic, pearlescent dark navy. Available in a polyester version (outdoor) and an epoxy-polyester version (indoor), across the full gloss range from matt to high gloss. Cured at 180°C for 10 minutes, QUALICOAT Class 1 certified and REACH- and RoHS-compliant. Dispatched from stock from our European warehouse; a free colour sample is also available.

RAL 5026 stands out with a pearlescent effect that gives the navy depth and variability under light.

How does RAL 5026 differ from RAL 5022 and RAL 5004?

RAL 5022 (Night blue) is non-metallic and gives a uniform, matt depth, while the pearl night blue shimmers with fine reflections. Against RAL 5004 (Black blue) the difference is that black blue goes darker and closer to black, without the pearlescent effect. RAL 5026 is a deep navy that comes alive under light thanks to its metallic sheen.

Parameters and resistance

The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured at 180°C for 10 minutes, at a recommended thickness of 90-120 µm. We offer the full gloss range, from matt (0-20%) to high gloss (86-100%), measured at 60° per ISO 2813. Adhesion reaches 5B in the cross-cut test. The thermosetting polyester version is TGIC-free (HAA-cured), UV- and weather-resistant, while the epoxy-polyester version is harder and more chemically resistant, for indoor use. Durability is confirmed by standardised elasticity and impact-resistance tests, and by QUALICOAT Class 1 certification and REACH and RoHS compliance. The surface does not fade and keeps its even pearlescent effect.
