RAL 9018 powder coating (Papyrus white) is a muted, cool white with a slightly grey-green undertone. Available in a polyester version (outdoor) and an epoxy-polyester version (indoor), across the full gloss range from matt to high gloss. Cured at 180°C for 10 minutes, QUALICOAT Class 1 certified and REACH- and RoHS-compliant. Dispatched from stock from our European warehouse; a free colour sample is also available.

Product description

Papyrus white is one of the muted whites of the RAL Classic palette, with a cool character of its own that clearly sets it apart from pure whites.

How does RAL 9018 differ from RAL 9010 and RAL 9016?

It is darker and calmer than the pure white RAL 9010 (Pure white), and distinctly greyer than the signal white RAL 9016 (Traffic white). The cool, slightly grey-green undertone means the surface does not reflect light sharply and hides dust better. That is why the shade withstands daily use in visible places well and keeps a calm, technical look.

Parameters and resistance

The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured at 180°C for 10 minutes, at a recommended thickness of 90-120 µm. We offer the full gloss range, from matt (0-20%) to high gloss (86-100%), measured at 60° per ISO 2813. Adhesion reaches 5B in the cross-cut test. The thermosetting polyester version is TGIC-free (HAA-cured), UV- and weather-resistant, while the epoxy-polyester version is harder and more chemically resistant, for indoor use. Durability is confirmed by standardised elasticity and impact-resistance tests, and by QUALICOAT Class 1 certification and REACH and RoHS compliance. This bright white does not yellow or chalk outdoors.
